Breadtree welcomes you to join in planting several thousand 🌰 at Doorways this November 7-16, 2022

A few logistical details:

- Due to a great response rate so far, we have filled our paid slots. We are welcoming volunteers for this season. Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet the people, get some practice, and get yourself on a shortlist for paid work next time.

- Doorways is located at 2671 NY-29, Greenwich NY (pronounced Green-Witch), across from Brophy Road / Reggie's Veggies. The farm is 7 minutes from the nearest gas station/store, and 30 minutes from hotels in Saratoga Springs.

- Work days will run roughly 9:00-6:00 PM and if you are volunteering you may of course come and go as you please.

- Camping will be available at multiple sites nearby, where we can offer you drinking water, use of bathroom + shower, electricity to charge your doodads, and probably some group dinners. Otherwise we ask folks to please provide your own food or eat out in Greenwich.

- Given seasonal weather we ask that you only join these work days if you are equipped and prepared to be in cold and/or wet weather.

-During workdays at the farm, bathroom availability will be the forest and a shovel. We will provide toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

- Our ambition is to create an agreement that allows everyone who wishes to have their time spent on these plantings vest into a proportionate share of long-term chestnut revenues from the Doorways planting. There is more legal work to do to refine the terms of this additional compensation, so for the moment we can't make commitments about the precise terms. But if you are interested in this, please let us know below, and we will track your time so it can be acknowledged retroactively.
